Since I’m being unfollowed like mad, I’m going to explain the point of this blog. I post nature things, flowers, viking, celt and pagan stuff during some time, then I switch to depressive, dark, graveyard pictures, suicidal/depressive stuff, whatever, for a while.
Hence the name I decided to give the blog, “locus amoenus / locus horrendus” which are literature topics; the first, meaning warm place, is used to describe a peaceful, bucolic ideal scenery, with trees, flowers, and birds singing, and it was used in the medieval and renaissance era. Locus horrendus, meaning horrible place, however, is one of the topics of romantic literature, which consists in a description of a cold, dreary, dark place, with elements such as graveyards, “nude trees”, the night, the twilight, depression and solitude…
So you see. This blog fluctuates between these two aspects, so take a look at my archive before you start following so you are not confused if you decide to follow me.
(Excuse my english and thank you if you read through this crap)
tagged as: personal. blog. locus amoenus. locus horrendus. shit no one cares about.

There is beauty to be found in both aspects, in my opinion. Keep it up and don’t let silly people discourage you. <3

I only started following you recently, and honestly, the duality, the contrast only appeals to me even more. I’m definitely going to stick around because in so many ways I can relate to the switch and the need to express both sides from time to time.

I enjoy both aspects, so I am pretty fine with that.
